[Bug 1183300] Re: Please upgrade keepalived to the latest upstream version
Good work. I took the liberty to update the changelog entry yet again: - move bug number to top and associate it with the merge and not with --enable-snmp, which is not mentioned in this bug report at all - unindented the debian/rules change to make it a bit clearer that it's not something we plan to keep as a delta - don't mention dh-autoreconf build-depends addition, as it's something we inherit from Debian Sorry for nitpicking here, but it's going to help the next person who merges understand which changes exactly are worth keeping. keepalived (1:1.2.7-1ubuntu1) saucy; urgency=low * Merge with Debian unstable (LP: #1183300). Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Am I correct in my understanding that this is unlikely to be an Ubuntu- specific bug? It sounds like it's coming from upstream apache 2.2.22 behaviour. Please can you test: 1) Lastest upstream apache 2.2 built from source. 2) Lastest upstream apache 2.4 built from source. [Bug 1212008] Re: Perl fix needed
What happens is that awstats ignores over 99% of your log entries. Note that this is done silently - ie there are no log messages or error codes. It is only after human inspection that you notice it doesn't look right. Even after you get it working again it skips old entries and I don't know how to make it reconsider the ones from the period of ignoring. So it makes awstats dangerous and the output useless. In my case it also deleted the logs because I have PurgeLogFile=1 You should either fix this or remove the package - it is that bad. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to awstats in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1212008 Title: Perl fix needed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/awstats/+bug/1212008/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1212008] Re: Perl fix needed
Perl 5.14 is used in 12.04, 12.10 and 13.04. You've said that 13.04 is affected. Do we know if 12.04 and 12.10 are affected also? We can of course fix the package, and I appreciate you having provided a patch. But we must follow the steps in the SRU procedure I linked, in order to reduce the likelyhood of breaking existing users. I appreciate that you believe that the package is severely broken; the procedure helps us to validate that claim. Are you able to provide a step-by-step test case that demonstrates the problem, please, so that we can test when the problem is fixed? In this case I imagine something like a sample log line that fails to get detected, and step by step instructions to get awstats running against that sample log file, and a grep on the output to check if it has worked correctly would do.

[Bug 1204561] Re: package apache2 2.4.4-6ubuntu5 failed to install/upgrade: Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück
I've spent some time digging into this, but haven't been able to reproduce the problem. It does look likely that this was once a bug, since there has been some juggling regarding the previous php5_cgi dummy module in the packaging. However, there has been quite some activity in both the apache2 and php5 packages recently. Since I can't figure out how to reproduce the problem, it could be that the bug has been fixed in between 2.4.4-6ubuntu5 and 2.4.6-2ubuntu2. If you are still affected by this bug, please report which versions of apache2 and php5 were involved: both the sets of versions you upgraded *from* and the versions you upgraded *to*. Steps to reproduce the problem would be ever better! Since I think the problem may be fixed now, and we don't have steps to reproduce and have no way to verify if the bug does still exist, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete. If you do find that the bug is still present, please report it here and change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: apache2 (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to apache2 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1204561 Title: package apache2 2.4.4-6ubuntu5 failed to install/upgrade: Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1204561/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1198882] Re: __toString() which stores $this reference triggers segfault
This has been on my todo list, but I regret that it's pretty low down on my list at the moment. If you'd like to speed things up, instructions below. What should I do to help make a patch upstream in Precise? Please see the procedure here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure But first you need a patch which includes the packaging changes. Normally you'll end up patching debian/changelog, debian/patches/series, and adding a new file to debian/patches/ with the fix. We call this a quilt patch, and the quilt tool can help you create this. The new file in debian/patches/ would normally contain dep3 headers (http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep3/). Please see the packaging guide (http://developer.ubuntu.com/packaging/html/index.html) for more details. Once you've got the patch, you can attach it here, or submit the equivalent bzr merge proposal. [Bug 1212414] Re: lxc-destroy allows unsafe destruction of overlayfs sources
My original lxcapi_clone plan included a 'lxc.snapshots' configuration file entry which would get bumped in the original container by lxcapi_clone, and dec'd by lxc-destroy. However, overlayfs is the only backing store that needs this, and doing this unilaterally would be wrong since in the btrfs case the original doesn't need to stick around. So let me think a bit more if there's any more elegant solution, and please anyone chime in if you have one. Otherwise I'll probably go with lxc.snapshots after all, and just bump it at lxc-clone -B overlayfs -s. ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1212414 Title: lxc-destroy allows unsafe destruction of overlayfs sources To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1212414/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
