[Bug 1200878] Re: Upgrade breaks existing pyjuju deployment
As there is still no upgrade path for environments created with py-juju to juju-core, I'm going to re-introduce the juju-0.7 package to saucy so we don't shoot all the existing juju environments that are already in use. juju-core will still be the default juju implementation for saucy; however switching to the python implementation should be supported to allow people time to switch over prior to 14.04 when I would like to drop py-juju. ** Also affects: juju (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: juju (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = High ** Changed in: juju (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to juju-core in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1200878 Title: Upgrade breaks existing pyjuju deployment To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/juju-core/+bug/1200878/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1084028] Re: openvswitch based interfaces not started in time during boot
@Jesse Matteo I'm not comfortable backporting this to the version in 12.04 - however, I can offer a compromise. [Bug 1022386] Re: Unable to obtain lock file:///etc/ held by root
You might want to run sudo bzr break-lock /etc. ^^^ This line worked 100% for me, after surfing the net for ages, finding a whole bunch of crud about killing processes and looking for files, uninstalling etckeeper. this single line got me back to apt-get install and seems to have fixed my package problems. I had a package error with virtualbox dpkg. This seems to have locked me out of my Ubuntu 10.0.4 package upgrades and updating. my /etc directory was locked for approx. 1500 hours - thats like 50 days! It may well have been another package, I don't know. All I know for sure is that bzr was playing up, acting bizaare and I couldn't install ANYTHING since my /etc was locked. It's simple now, if you think about it. Son't worry too much about downloading installing stuff, you just need to unlock your /etc directory. Look at the error messages and really try to get a feel of the problem, I knew my system was LOCKED in some way. Anyway, now it's unlocked, I'll post back if there's any problems, it seems to have installed my ruby gems and git nicely. Many Thanks! [Bug 1214500] Re: consistent failure with overlayfs and unix sockets
Attaching 'serv.py' which mimics behavior of supervisor/http.py in supervisor for setting up the socket, and then implements an 'echo' server. client.py is just a simple client to run and show the problem. One would expect to be able to do this: $ ./serv.py /tmp/my-socket $ ./client.py /tmp/my-socket Received 'Hello, world' The behavior seems to differ between precise and saucy kernels. One thing to note is that on precise kernel and overlayfs, I see: $ sudo rm -f /tmp/my-socket $ ./serv.py /tmp/my-socket Traceback (most recent call last): File ./serv.py, line 22, in module os.link(tempname, socketname) OSError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted $ sudo rm -f /tmp/my-socket $ sudo ./serv.py /tmp/my-socket $ sudo ./client.py /tmp/my-socket Received 'Hello, world' Ie, this works as root, but not as non-root. ** Attachment added: serv.py: program mimicking supervisor/http.py https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1214500/+attachment/3779836/+files/serv.py -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1214500 Title: consistent failure with overlayfs and unix sockets To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1214500/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
