[Bug 1310181] [NEW] resume from suspend do not work with thinkpad R61i (freeze and crash)
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. click suspend (top-right of the desktop area) 2. resume from suspend. Current behaviour: I can only see my mouse icon on the desktop; then xorg seems freezed and crashed. I have to reset my pc. Further steps: 3. in terminal, execute sudo pm-suspend. 4. resume from suspend. Current behaviour: The desktop appears but freezes. In fact suspend never worked since ubuntu 13.10 in my Thinkpad R61i. (please note that suspend works ok in Fedora 20 with my pc) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: pm-utils 1.4.1-13 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-24.46-generic 3.13.9 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: i386 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Sun Apr 20 14:13:56 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-04-20 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr - Release i386 (20140417) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: pm-utils UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: pm-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to pm-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1310181 Title: resume from suspend do not work with thinkpad R61i (freeze and crash) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pm-utils/+bug/1310181/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1310270] [NEW] cannot use screen command at boot
Public bug reported: I have just upgraded from Ubuntu Server 13.10 to 14.04 (64 bit). I have a script that I use to run a minecraft server (for my son, honest) that uses the screen command. This worked fine using ubuntu 13.10, but now fails on 14.04. When I run the command during the /etc/init.d process, I get the message: Cannot make directory '/var/run/screen': Permission denied when I use the screen command. When I list the directory, at the same time (ls -l /var/run), I get: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Apr 20 12:26 /var/run - /run If I run the command once the system has finished booting, it all works fine. [Bug 1310076] Re: lost connectivity to a node when using fastpath-installer with precise+hwe-s
The reason auto-installation lts-saucy does not work in my environment was that the result of in_chroot(['apt-cache', 'search', package], capture=True) was empty. i.e. apt-cache search linux-generic-lts- saucy returns empty result.
