thanks for this hint. It's gr8 that trusty (Ubuntu 14.04) installes the
pygrub2 package, so it should be possible to start a 14.04 pv domU on a
14.04 dom0. I also did not test this.
But thats not a solution for thoose who run the dom0 on 12.04 and want
to use a 14.04 pv domU now. So

I had previously failed this due to an install failure for a 3rd party
package from VMWare, thinking that the problem was in the control file
for this new package in precise.
I've also verified this. Everything looks good from my perspective.

Unable to connect to VCenter 5.5 VimFaultException: Server raised fault:

My cases of this bug (though it seems like there are different ones with
similar symptoms) happen each time I reset a 14.04 VM to an older state
from a hard shutdown. Localhost ssh connections fail as well with same
output.
Workaround for me is regenerating the host keys (sudo rm /etc/ssh/host_*
Looks to be a No supported key exchange algorithms [preauth] problem.
Regenerating the host RSA key with ssh-keygen -t rsa -f
/etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key fixes the issue
Log of failure (pre-keygen) on host:
$ sudo /usr/sbin/sshd -p -D -d -d -d -e

Mmm, not sure how this got tagged for lxc package and I don't know how

This is a fresh install of 14.04 LTS Server on VMware ESXi 5.1 or 5.5, I
get the same symptom on both servers.
I installed with OpenSSH and LAMP packages. After the install, the server
reboots and comes up OK. I login, immediately type sudo reboot now and it
begins

fwiw, its not terribly obvious that the 2GB disk is wrong.
Why would you want your root disk of your OS to be the big one?
instead, use the small one that is sufficient, and put all your data on the
big one.

I don't know if it's related but this is the log of trying to use that
RSA key to connect to a server:

Well, at least in my case, I found that all the sshd host keys were
truncated. I'm guessing that the hard shutdown of the VM was the cause
