[Bug 945433] Re: Incorrect GPT length should be handled better
I see this crash with an external USB disk with MBR only (no GPT!) I tried to shrink a FAT32 partition with gparted when the crash occurred the first time. Now the partition still has its old size, but the FAT32 filesystem has the new, lower size. Fortunately no data was lost. IMO the importance of this bug is not low. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to gdisk in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/945433 Title: Incorrect GPT length should be handled better To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdisk/+bug/945433/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

If you aren't using gpt then you aren't getting the error message and thus aren't related to this bug.
