There's an existing grub SRU in flight (2.02~beta2-9ubuntu1.2 in Trusty)
so I'm deferring upload for all releases until it clears. These diffs

Ubuntu better. I'm not sure what is causing this. Your findings are
helpful - I'll leave this bug open to look at it later. I wonder if
recent systemd updates have fixed it though?

proxy fails to resolve DNS entries for URL that it needs to service. The
problem seems systematic on the hardware that I have.

Cloud-init searches for region.ec2.archive.ubuntu.com by default
regardless of whether or not its on EC2. The result is that launching
the default image on any cloud with a valid EC2 region name will result
in using the EC2 mirrors (since they are valid).
Using the same start on clause than for the squid3 job fixes the
problem (start on runlevel ...) :

work, found that it didn't, somehow found this page, installed your PPA
and the updated utilities and it now appears to be working perfectly! I
only wish it would work out of the box in an LTS release.
