[Bug 1463635] Re: Apache2 waits indefinetely when reloading
We dont exactly know why connection remains open. There could be a problematic client connected or buggy php script running on the server. Whatever causes the problem that means if apache waits indefinitely, anybody could launch a DOS attack on server (via a crafted, never ending request). Also in another view; If this problem occurs, an inexperienced system administrator could not be solve that. I think default configurations must be safe, secure, user friendly and tuneable. If Ubuntu team thinks, thats the job of a system admin then i will respect that and close the report. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1463635 Title: Apache2 waits indefinetely when reloading To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1463635/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1463046] Re: installation of multipath-tools-boot can break boot
** Changed in: multipath-tools (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Changed in: multipath-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Description changed: installing multipath-tools-boot puts multipath code into initramfs. [Bug 1448500] Re: tftp-hpa doesn't accept IPv4 connections
It seems tftpd-hpa interprets option --address ::69 to mean that only listen on IPv6: 1. Dan, I have tested this script against Ubuntu 14.04 in our cloud and now it works flawlessly, but in addition to the patch provided the file: /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cloudinit/config/cc_set_passwords.py adding the following: ... from cloudinit import util from string import letters, digits # pylint: disable=W0402 +# new passwords need to be set at every boot if available +from cloudinit.settings import PER_ALWAYS +frequency = PER_ALWAYS # We are removing certain 'painful' letters/numbers PW_SET = (letters.translate(None, 'loLOI') + digits.translate(None, '01')) ... Maybe you can add this also to your patch so that the implementation is complete. If both are applied, the cloud-init scripts work correctly with ACS 4.5.1 at least in our reference cloud, thank you! Mike, Please move issues with multipath (like are shown in that log) to bug 1462530. Stefan had actually asked for almost exactly what you captured.
