I noticed after a recent apt-get dist-upgrade asterisk stopped working.
Thank you for the workaround, I added noload = res_pjsip.so to
/etc/asterisk/modules.conf and now it starts again. There are still a
bunch of warnings in the log however, e.g.:

i just moved vm to an hypervisor using 2.0.0+dfsg-2ubuntu1.14 and it works
fine, 2.0.0+dfsg-2ubuntu1.12 worked fine in my environment before.

BTW, I can’t login. I use a password manager so I know the password and
username are correct. After clicking login I get a page that says “Bad
Request”. That seems like an error in the backend rather than an
authentication error. Because of this, I can’t change the status of the

apache2 and cli folders. The same file linked in both places since
Apache virtual hosts override ini directives via php_value. I'm
guessing I should of removed those links before attempting the upgrade.

I see that 9.10.2 has been packaged in Debian already. Note that the
currrent version in Ubuntu (2:9.4.6-1770165-8ubuntu1) has some Ubuntu-
specific patches which means the package will likely need to be merged
manually.
