[Bug 1248054] Re: [SRU] dlm package installation fails

2016-02-27 Thread Karl-Philipp Richter
Changing

daemon $prog $DLM_CONTROLD_OPTS
to
start_daemon $prog $DLM_CONTROLD_OPTS

doesn't seem constructive. The dependency on the `daemon` binary seems
to be missing and I don't see it added in the `debdiff` for `wily` (and
didn't check the others). As a workaround manually install `daemon` on
`wily`.

[Bug 1549436] Re: AppArmor kills StronSwan daemon 'charon'

2016-02-27 Thread Simon Déziel
Ruslan, upstream mentions that lowering the amount of socket used for
RADIUS a possible workaround:
https://wiki.strongswan.org/issues/757#note-7

Also, you might want to give a try to Ubuntu Xenial that ships
Strongswan 5.3.5 which has the fix included.

open-vm-tools promises less maintenance efforts on kernel updates.
VmWare makes the recommendations - within VmWare Tools installation script and
several other sources - to replace bundled VmWare Tools with open-vm-tools
provided by package management of used disro. This reco I can understand very
well.
Shared folders do not work in following setup: Ubuntu 15.10 64Bits Desktop +
open_vm_tools offered by Wily's package management system, status: two days ago.

[Bug 1549436] Re: AppArmor kills StronSwan daemon 'charon'

2016-02-27 Thread ruslan_ka
Hello Simon,

I'm not really sure should I post it here, report a new bug, or report a
bug to strongswan project directly.

I can reproduce this buffer overflow with 100% probability. It is a
resource independent and strongswan fail as on t1.micro or at any
instance with more resources.

Buffer overflow depends on a connections number (few hundreds - from 150
up to almost 400 - it depends on time between connections ).

Some other resources usage:
* CPU load less than 50% on t1.micro and less than 10% on t1.lagre -
https://www.dropbox.com/s/kqox2t2u86ws49c/Screenshot%202016-02-27%2018.51.01.png?dl=0

* a lot of free memory -
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vzah4itqmrioksn/Screenshot%202016-02-27%2018.50.45.png?dl=0
* about 1100 sockets  are used -

[Bug 1500581] Re: open-vm-tools-dkms fails to build on kernel 4.2 (Wily Werewolf) [error: implicit declaration of function ‘nd_set_link’]

2016-02-27 Thread a name

open-vm-tools promises less maintenance efforts one kernel updates.
VmWare makes the recommendations - within VmWare Tools installation script and
several other sources - to use replace bundled VmWare Tools with open-vm-tools
provided by package management of used disro. This reco I can understand very
well.
Shared folders do not work in following setup: Ubuntu 15.10 64Bits Desktop +
open_vm_tools offered by Wily's package management system, status: two days ago.

[Bug 1543794] Re: isc-dhcp-server fails to start on second & further attempts with 'Can't open /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases for append'

2016-02-27 Thread Doug Smythies
Yes, isc-dhcp - 4.3.3-5ubuntu8 fixes the issue with the dhclient stuff
that caused this:

Feb 26 14:05:21 DOUG-64 kernel: [   17.518717] audit: type=1400
audit(1456524321.220:10): apparmor="DENIED" operation="open"
profile="/sbin/dhclient" name="/etc/ssl/openssl.cnf" pid=483
comm="dhclient" requested_mask="r" denied_mask="r" fsuid=0 ouid=0

However, that is not what this bug report is about. This bug report is
about these ones:

Feb 27 07:53:07 DOUG-64 kernel: [   21.350331] audit: type=1400
audit(1456588387.171:12): apparmor="ALLOWED" operation="capable"
profile="/usr/sbin/dhcpd" pid=1248 comm="dhcpd" capability=1
capname="dac_override"
Feb 27 07:53:07 DOUG-64 kernel: [   21.466959] audit: type=1400
audit(1456588387.287:13): apparmor="ALLOWED" operation="capable"
profile="/usr/sbin/dhcpd" pid=1248 comm="dhcpd" capability=3  capname="fowner"

Note: the above are "ALLOWED" because I have it set to complain mode.

which were fixed, but have now returned.
setting back to confirmed.

2016-02-27 Thread Marc Deslauriers
Chrome 45 is too old. You need to update to Chrome 47 or later,
preferably to the current version, Chrome 48.

I am closing this bug as running an old version of Chrome is not
supported.
