[Bug 1576799] Re: Regression: 2:4.3.8+dfsg-0ubuntu0.14.04.2 Failed to Issue the StartTLS instruction

2017-12-12 Thread Andreas Hasenack
Hello @arjitkumar, what are the samba packages you have? Sorry if I
missed that information, but I can't find it in the bug.

And what is the ldapsearch test command you are using? I'm interested in
the ssl/tls and authentication parameters, not the search filter. For
example, is it using gssapi? start tls (-ZZ)?

[Bug 1737296] Re: package python-samba 2:4.3.11+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.11 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 127

2017-12-12 Thread Andreas Hasenack
Do a reinstall then:

sudo apt install --reinstall python-minimal

Also run this:

ls -la /usr/bin/pycompile /usr/bin/pyclean /usr/bin/python
/usr/bin/python2 /usr/bin/pyversions

[Bug 1555689] Re: Consider building bind 9.10 with --enable-fetchlimit

2017-12-12 Thread Andreas Hasenack
bind 9.11 is in debian testing and we should merge from it soon. It has
this option enabled by default, so this bug will be done when we do that
merge.

This fix has been reverted in qemu 1:2.8+dfsg-3ubuntu2.9~cloud1 to align
with Zesty. qemu 1:2.8+dfsg-3ubuntu2.9~cloud1 has now been released to
ocata-updates.

I failed to find an upstream bug about this (open or closed), and an
inspection of the commit messages also didn't yield useful results to
me.

I also tried some of the domain names your logs showed but didn't manage
to crash my bind server. Your server is quite busy, though, so this
could also be a race condition.

Would you perhaps be willing to submit a bug upstream at bugs.isc.org,
including the core dump (or just let me know the bug number and I can
attach it there: you have to extract it from the crash file with apport-
unpack).
