[Bug 1473691] Re: [FFe] squid: Update to latest upstream release (3.5)

2016-03-13 Thread Adam Conrad
The above error doesn't appear to have anything to do with your DAEMON
being set to gibberish but, rather, squid3 being removed (along with its
init script) before squid.postinst tries to stop it. This is probably
due to the Conflicts that should be a Breaks. Experimenting locally.

[Bug 1541736] Re: Sync bacula 7.0.5+dfsg-4 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2016-02-10 Thread Adam Conrad
There's no explanation for the request to move to universe, it builds
fine in main (as can be seen from the build records) and, furthermore,
archive admins don't generally mess with other people's seeds, we react
when they change.

If the server team's decided they are no longer supporting bacula, they
should change their seed to reflect that, and then our reports will show
that it's pending demotion.

[Bug 1236380] Re: growroot fails for images on SD cards

2015-11-12 Thread Adam Conrad
Hello Juerg, or anyone else affected,

Accepted cloud-initramfs-tools into precise-proposed. The package will
build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/cloud-initramfs-tools/0.25ubuntu1.12.04.1 in a few hours, and then in
the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

Are there any arguments for a late-in-the-release update to 3.3.14 other
than "it's newer"?

If not, I'd say we should just close this and look to merging with
Debian for 16.04.

[Bug 1460737] Re: [SRU] MAAS 1.7.5

2015-06-03 Thread Adam Conrad
10:36 Alright, accepting (slowly) the trusty and utopic uploads now.
10:36 Consider this a test drive for a broader acceptance of the
backporting exception.
10:37 So, please do track any bugs that come from this, respond
promptly to issues, etc.
10:37 We don't expect it to be perfect, but we also won't be happy
with bugs being ignored or closed with "well, it's a new version, suck it up if
the upgrade broke".
10:39 And document your testing strategies, etc on the master SRU
bug, don't just set it "verification-done" without a solid explanation of how
you arrived at that conclusion.
