sudo ldapsearch -y /etc/ldap.secrets -D mybinddn -b search base -xH
ldap://localhost;
does not work, as I get this error:
ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49)
yet, if I run:
sudo ldapsearch -w $(sudo cat /etc/ldap.secrets) -D mybinddn -b
search base -xH ldap://localhost;
