Hi Serge, Thank you for your insights. I did aptitude full-upgrade and was indeed annoyed by hung apt/dpkg processes running without a terminal attached. Also, there were whiptail processes stuck in an endless loop. Unfortunately, the entire system kind of crashed (only ping from outside worked) and I wasn't able to recover from this. I have no idea why, but it's probably unrelated. I've also removed update-notifier for the time being, but I'm not sure anymore if it had anything to do with this. @Stas: I'm working on such packages but they are for PHP 5.2, as FPM with PHP 5.3 is still experimental (and I had problems building it). Although I've been using it on a public website for a while now, there can still be regressions (and there probably are).
