Public bug reported:
After the latest automatic update, exim4 was left not running.
/var/log/apt/history.log includes:
Start-Date: 2016-03-16 06:27:04
Upgrade: exim4-base:amd64 (4.82-3ubuntu2, 4.82-3ubuntu2.1), exim4:amd64
(4.82-3ubuntu2, 4.82-3ubuntu2.1), exim4-daemon-heavy:amd64
I don't follow this - simply restarting exim after the patch fixes the
security issue. keep_environment and add_environment will be unset, so
you'll get warnings in the logs, but both will be empty by default, so
no environment will be kept, which will work unless there is some
environment needed

Hi,
Great to see that the bug was fixed. However, what could be the solution
for old version ( 1.10.0) of upstart? For instance, in ubuntu precise,
the version of upstart is 1.5-0ubuntu7.2, is there any suggested
workaround for such case? Thanks!

You received this bug notification because
I have found that I can still use /etc/init.d/php5-fpm to do reload,
however, this script doesn't work well with php5-fpm processes that are
started by service php5-fpm start, for instance,
/etc/init.d/php5-fpm stop sometimes can't stop all the processes, I
have not looked into the cause of

I'm fighting with similar symptoms:
- Ubuntu (Saucy) guests created with VMBuilder don't boot successfully; instead
I get a grub prompt.
- qemu-system-x86 uses 100% CPU and 30MB RAM.
- Sometimes (but rarely) the problem magically disappears.

Confirmed. Once the henrix kernel [1] is installed the new keepalived
on Raring works.
$ apt-cache policy keepalived
keepalived:
Installed: 1:1.2.2-3ubuntu2.13.04.1
Candidate: 1:1.2.2-3ubuntu2.13.04.1
Version table:

Let me clarify. Once the henrix kernel is installed, the normal and
proposed keepalived can be installed and tested.
