I believe most of this is fixed once we upload postfix 3.1 to Debian. Not sure
when it will get to Ubuntu.

That's correct. Trusty is the only release affected.

I would recommend that you write to the postfix-users mailing list about this
as I suspect upstream knowledge will be needed to sort it. When you subscribe
you will get a welcome message that, among other things, gives you specifics
about what information to provide. Read it carefully and provide the
information to the list. Don't assume they'll come here and read the bug.

Do you have any relay map files in /etc/postfix/? If you don't know, please

Altering the envelope-from would solve this problem, but would
circumvent SPF as you suggest. What you might do is use your mail from

Re: [Bug 1447755] Re: Provide default configuration files for transport, virtual, etc.

The information you're asking for is in the documentation. Setting up postfix
requires consulting the documentation unless you are very familiar with it
(even then usually), so I don't think that providing the example configuration
files would obviate the need to use the documentation. If you use the
documentation, then you don't need the sample files.

Also, there's no requirement that those file names be used.

warnings. Have you investigated if those will affect other packages?
I'm inclined to agree with you that we want this in, but I think there
should be some assessment of the impact of the deprecation warnings
before we decide.

[Bug 1422417] Re: ceph radosgw needs mod-proxy-fcgi for apache 2.2

2015-02-20 Thread Scott Kitterman
As long as 12.04 + backports -> 14.04 upgrades work, I think this is
reasonable. I'd prefer someone other than me on the SRU team to make
the call on the SRU piece of this though.

this for dolphin (KDE file manager) and nautilus (Gnome file manager).

It's not a bug. Due to licensing issues with the Clamav unrar detection

Does the proposed upload guard against use of objects larger than 2GB to avoid
crashing pyscopg2? Given we're unlikely to go forward with the psycopg2
change this cycle, it'd make sense to protect against use off excessively large
objects instead of just exploading.

This issue should not affect trusty as it has the fix from upstream.
Did you have the problem/test the fix on trusty or precise?

[Bug 1356843] Re: ccs received early errors after openssl security update

2014-08-15 Thread Scott Kitterman
Hello Tim, or anyone else affected,

Accepted into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be
available in a few hours in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

[Bug 1328038] Re: Sync clamav 0.98.4~rc1+dfsg-3 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2014-06-09 Thread Scott Kitterman
The releases after 0.98.1 are problematic in a number of respects and
regressions, which will all, hopefully, be resolved in the 0.98.4
release, which is expected any day now. Even though there's no
remaining packaging diff to preclude a sync, I think it's better to wait
for 0.98.4 final to get into Debian to do the sync.
