[Bug 1523133] Re: strongswan vpn does not work
ad #2: the problem appears still not to be fixed with kernel 4.3.0-3.12 (dec 10): strongswan vpn does not work (same behavior as described in #1). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to strongswan in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523133 Title: strongswan vpn does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1523133/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1523133] [NEW] strongswan vpn does not work
Public bug reported: strongswan vpn does not work with any of the published kernels 4.3 (including 4.3.0-2): I have already reported this problem some days ago to strongswan.org under ticket #1189: "I'm using strongswan 5.1.2-0ubuntu8 in lubuntu-16.04 (development) with kernel 4.3. Setting up VPN with the NetworkManager, I get no error, BUT VPN does not work; establishing VPN manually with: sudo ipsec restart, sudo ipsec up ..., I get the following in the console: received netlink error: invalid argument (22). Unable to install source route for 139.174.7.. But finally it says: "connection "" established correctly" (as when using the NetworkManager VPN connection does not work however!!)." No such problem occur when using the kernel 4.2.0-19 (also 4.2.0-21) instead: VPN works okay. The same behaviour is found for lubuntu-15.10 with all kernels 4.3 where a older version of strongswan is still installed. I was told by strongswan.org that this is a kernel bug (a patch appears to exist; see the discussion at #1189). [Bug 1515145] [NEW] xm migrate --live panics hypervisor
Public bug reported: I have to HP Proliant D380 Gen8 Servers with a shared iSCSI storage in a xen cluster configuration. They run 12.04 amd64 and are fully patched and freshly rebooted. When i call /usr/sbin/xm migrate --live on one server this "sending" system reboots instantly and the VM only appears in an undefined state on the "receiving" host. affects me too after upgrading from Lubuntu 15.04 to 15.10. Tried to reinstall the package because with "systemd-analyze" I get the answer: "boot not yet finished. Try later". [Bug 1436645] [NEW] Relation to eucalyptus no stated in man pages
Public bug reported: The individual man pages do not reveal the relation to the package, which is confusing when seeing the man page. The man pages note that they describe a user command and are in man section 1 (see below for a typical example page). The command names use a common prefix euare- with no obvious meaning. Even the last line does not help for a user who does not know what a ools is. Based on this, it look like it describes some variant of the local system commands, like belonging to a different desktop environment or so. So, there is very few information about what the commands belong to. As solution, the man pages should at least say they are related to Eucalyptus; even better, they could contain a one or two line summary stating the relation of Eucalyptus to AWS. (The package short description is tools for interacting with AWS API-compatible services for example) Version euca2ools 3.0.2-1ubuntu1 Example from man page of euare-groupmod: -- EUARE-GROUPMOD(1) User Commands EUARE-GROUPMOD(1) NAME euare-groupmod - Change the name and/or path of a group SYNOPSIS euare-groupmod -g GROUP [-n GROUP] [-p PATH] [--as-account ACCOUNT] [--region USER@REGION | -U URL] [-I KEY_ID] [-S KEY] [--debug] [--debugger] [--version] [-h] DESCRIPTION Change the name and/or path of a group optional arguments: [ ... ] -h, --help show this help message and exit euca2ools 3.0.1 August 2013 EUARE-GROUPMOD(1) -- ** Affects: euca2ools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: + The individual man pages do not reveal the relation to the package, + which is confusing when seeing the man page. + The man pages note that they describe a user command and are in man section 1 (see below for a typical example page).
