[Bug 1295620] [NEW] Large numbers of /var/log/upstart logs
Public bug reported: I'm collecting large numbers of network interface logs in /var/log/upstart, named like /var/log/upstart/network-interface- vethzNgy6Y.log.1.gz I believe these are being created by lxc or one of its dependencies. Re: [Bug 1295620] [NEW] Large numbers of /var/log/upstart logs
This may be a leftover vestige of bug 1065589, or a dup of 460925 - it depends on whether the upstart job is being started in the container - which seems unlikely as other upstart messages do end up in the container - or on the host, due to a udev misfire. The latter seems more likely. The message says: ifdown: interface veth9HRJRD not configured Is there something we can do about this in ifupdown? Why should it bother to spit this out? status: confirmed priority: low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1295620 Title: Large numbers of /var/log/upstart logs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1295620/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
