Public bug reported: I have just upgraded 2 of my machines from 14.04 to 14.10. Both have the same error after the upgrade.
When the libvirt-bin service is started it crashes with the error: 2014-10-29 00:57:51.863+0000: 4809: info : libvirt version: 1.2.8, package: 1.2.8-0ubuntu11 2014-10-29 00:57:51.863+0000: 4809: error : umlStateInitialize:561 : Failed to create inotify watch on /var/run/libvirt/uml-guest: No space left on device 2014-10-29 00:57:51.863+0000: 4809: error : virStateInitialize:749 : Initialization of UML state driver failed: Unknown problem df -i shows plenty of space in the directory Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on tmpfs 1021899 527 1021372 1% /run ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "libvirtd.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1386949/+attachment/4247687/+files/libvirtd.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libvirt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1386949 Title: Libvirt crashes after startup "/var/run/libvirt/uml-guest: No space left on device" after upgrade from 14.04 to 14.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1386949/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
