A few comments here.
First, some of upstream qemu's position is that nested KVM is not for
enterprise installs in the first place. (Others feel that if there are
bugs, they should be worked out)
Second, the bug appears to be a soft luckup. It seems to me the bug
should be about that. If

not to crash, that is the only change made to this system after the

First step is to debug this issue and see if its a reasonable fix. If
that's possible then we should leave qemu alone.
Second if we want to disable KSM for nested VMs relying on a 'QEMU' cpu isn't
sufficient if someone uses a different -cpu flag. We could do:
