Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I think what you're really saying here is that there is no installer support for bcache. I'd say that this would be primarily a wishlist bug in the installer that you are using, even if bcache-tools needs modifying to add a udeb. Thanks racb. I'd asked in #ubuntu on IRC, and no-one could tell me against which package to file the bug. The problem is with the standard graphical installer from the Ubuntu live disk image. If it is installing onto a bcache'd drive, it should install bcache-tools. I think the installer already handles LVM, encrypted and RAID setups gracefully, and it would be nice if it did the same for bcache.
