2010-05-18 Thread C de-Avillez
Hello Halvor,

OK, let's try a different approach:

Please open a terminal and run:

1. dpkg -l ntp\*

2. date

3. date -u

4. locale

5. lsb_release -a

and then add all output here. We will proceed from there.

I don't see any additional information/logs appended. If it is still an
issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running
apport-collect 220731.

Have not experienced the issue since the original error message. For my
experience the problem do not exist any more so to me the ticket may be
closed.

Status in “ntp” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

 Bug description:
Using ntptime or ntpd the time on the computer is placed 2 hours into the

 j...@jev-laptop:~$ date

But the clock is now 21:22 :-(

I have manually adjusted to be wrong and rebooted. The time is again set
to be 2 hours into the future.

I believe (but not sure) this worked a couple of days ago when i used
xubuntu. That was also 8.04 beta.

[Bug 220731] Re: Time-synchronization in Ubuntu 8.04 (ntpd) gives +2 hours

2010-04-02 Thread Halvor
I have attempted to have this reopened now since Lohn Enok's problem
looks a lot like mine. I've had this problem for more than a month. I'm
not very technically literate. The clock is one hour off from what it's
supposed to be. I've received some help (on several occasions) on
#ubuntu on Freenode and #gnome on the gnome network.

Someone asked my why I'm using ntpd and not ntpdate. I don't know the
answer to that.

I was asked to include this with my bug report:

fredensb...@beboer-pc:~$ sudo ntpdate-debian

fredensb...@beboer-pc:~$ sudo ntpdate -v ntp.ubuntu.com
