Squeezecenter is not a part of Ubuntu. It changes the configuration of Ubuntu in a way that breaks Ubuntu policy. We're happy to work with squeezecenter on a better solution, but as it stands, Ubuntu is doing exactly what is is supposed to do. As such, I'm marking this bug invalid. If you want
