[Bug 503467] Re: vmbuilder default account not well-documented
I ran into the same issue and only was lucky because i disable password based ssh login on my machines. This is a security issue, not wishlist, please change importance. Insecure defaults must be changed or at least very prominently warned about. Mentioning this behavior in the help page is not enough. One should ssh scan the cloud for this account ;-) -- vmbuilder default account not well-documented https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/503467 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to vm-builder in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 503467] Re: vmbuilder default account not well-documented
Another possibility would be to use a random password (maybe using pwgen) and output it at the end of the installation. -- vmbuilder default account not well-documented https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/503467 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to vm-builder in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
