Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

The file share feature of nautilus doesn't work for me in Ubuntu 9.10
(Desktop x86).

I set up anonymous access and write-access in the gui for a directory
but i cannot read files from it on a remote machine.

The directory is /home/stather/VMs (drwxrwxrwx), and everything in this dir has
rwxr-xr-x

and in the samba log i get:

[2010/02/24 10:28:16, 0] param/loadparm.c:8562(process_usershare_file)
  process_usershare_file: stat of /var/lib/samba/usershares/vms failed.
