hi. I think that this printing problem is back. After a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 I can't print. Actually I can't autenticate to the printer's server. Keep geting Print share inaccessible. I've tried to add a network printer using system-config-printer and I'm getting this when error: no talloc stackframe around, leaking memory Kinit failed: Configuration file does not specify default realm Caught non-fatal exception. I can confirm that this is a samba problem: Downgrading to samba version 3.4.7 from lucid fixed the issue for me. well, my printing server demands a password. In my network we all have a user and a password to print. I tried to uninstall samba an reinstall it but nothing changed. Now I'm back to windows... Jack, I've recently had issues with Ubuntu asking for a password whenever I tried to print previous to the upgrade. Submitting a blank password worked. Then I upgraded. Now I'm having this problem. I'm wondering if you've had similar issues.
