Still an issue on natty server,

to reproduce...

apt-get update
apt-get install nis


is this going to get fixed?

This issue occurred for me installing nis after an upgrade from 10.10 to
11.04:

Thanks for taking the time to submit this bug.

I tried this by creating a fresh 11.04 container, and doing

   apt-get install nis

but could reproduce no error.  Could you tell us the exact command you
used, and post the contents of /var/log/dpkg.log and
/var/log/apt/term.log?
