I'm sorry, I haven't yet found a good way to reproduce this, especially as I can't find a good jaunty image from which to start. Are you using the same version of virt-manager to connect to both the fresh-lucid-install and jaunty-upgraded-to-lucid install? Yes. Can you tell us exactly what connection you are creating (presumably ssh://, using which user?) qemu+ssh, user is the same on both host, it's the user that is created on install. What does 'ls -l /dev/sr0' show on both hosts?
