I have search for this temp fix for many days, this temp fix is
excellent for deleting physical node in a stuck commission state. Thank

To start the shell, run
$ sudo maas shell
then proceed normally with those instructions.

Yep below worked for me very well
$ sudo maas
from maasserver.models import Node
node = Node.objects.get(hostname='myhostname')
node.delete()

Is there a workaround for this bug such as a way to delete from shell?
I'm not familiar enough with the internals of MAAS to do this safely.

You can delete a node like this:
$ sudo maas
