system seems more prone to this behavior when a user makes requests for

I've opened a Eucalyptus (and Ubuntu/Eucalyptus task). This is really a
eucalyptus bug. Ideally the instance would not be booted without the
metadata service up and ready. That would be the ideal world. As seen
in bug 308530, EC2 has an issue where if the instance looks too soon,

and two of the update procedure to justify backporting this bug.

ok, after a full-upgrade and a reboot before building a vm, I'm still
getting similar errors, however, it seems to be intermittent - I did one
build that was chock-full of dependency failures (in debootstrap.log),
then did another one which didn't but had other problems, though missing
packages
I'm not using linux to connect to my samba server but usually windows7, using
nfs for linux and afp for mac. But i tried from my ubuntu desktop. At first it
worked and later i got with smbclient //192.168.0.10/egklemata: session setup

Update: this is actually a bug in update-binfmt, which is a dependency
of qemu-kvm

dpkg install should not assume any services are running. I had to do apt-get
dist-upgrade in emergency mode and it broke because this service assumed it
could do update-binfmt from a kernel this distribution

After upgrading to lucid, I get a segfault in php5-cgi when accessing a
specific page (adding a new image in Gallery2) using lighttpd + php5-cgi
This happens both using cgi and fastcgi mode.
I have tried increasing the memory to 512M without any
