Sorry, I am unable to reproduce this. On a fresh Trusty LXC container,
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get -y install snmpd and sudo apt-get
update sudo apt-get -y --no-install-recommends snmpd both work
correctly.
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
