[Bug 461271] Re: zenmap not installed to menus properly
Hello everyone, The main problem with these files: /usr/share/applications/zenmap.desktop /usr/share/applications/zenmap-root.desktop It's the wrong path declared inside them. When I edited them to get rid this part in each (wrong) line: /build/buildd/nmap-5.21/debian/tmp They started to work properly. Until someone makes zenmap be policykit- compliant, please at least fix the two .desktop files above. Thank you in advance -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nmap in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461271 Title: zenmap not installed to menus properly -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 461271] Re: zenmap not installed to menus properly
This is because the zenmap as root menu entry uses su-to-root. su-to- root is in the menu package which we don't use in Ubuntu by default. As a workaround, you can install the menu package and it should work. For Lucid, we should replace the call to su-to-root in zenmap- root.desktop with calls to gksudo or gksu or whatever the desktop team prefers nowadays. ** Changed in: nmap (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: nmap (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low -- zenmap not installed to menus properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461271 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nmap in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
