i also get this alerts every 2 or 3 days even i restart winbindd every
night.
The Samba 'panic action' script, /usr/share/samba/panic-action,
was called for PID 2081 (/usr/sbin/winbindd).
This means there was a problem with the program, such as a segfault.
Below is a backtrace for this process
I am using Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS

every 30 mins or so. The message instructs me to report this as a bug here. I
am using Samba to connect from Ubuntu 10.04 to Windows 7. The
OK. apport-collect run OK and have attached the first of two log files
which have been generated today.
