Hi Mark, We're currently working on making it possible to add a single package to any flavor of Ubuntu (including Kubuntu) which would configure it to have all of the benefits of Ubuntu Studio. Most likely, it will be our ubuntustudio- installer package, which, when run, would allow you to customize your install with whatever you need to give your install the Ubuntu Studio benefits it needs.
