see Lenovo is another good choice. I was searching in the website for
models and the thinkpad looks fine. The new modelsw include a MD Port
compatible with apple hardware, but I'm not sure how useful could it be.

Studio is a complete SO by itself. You only need to install Ubuntu Studio.

and you can do a lot of interesting things. I use Ubuntu studio since the
old LTS version (8.04) I enjoy it and now I'm using also Ubuntu and

means that, if you're using 8.04 as me, you should upgrade at 8.10,
