I don't think there is an easy way to fix this and it is not an issue I
would like to put much time into since most people won't even notice.
Since I cannot set to »Won't fix« I'll close this bug as invalid.

This is fixed for German.
It doesn't make a lot of sense to have one bug for this if it is
language-specific anyways so please open a separate bug if this affects
your language.

This will be fixed with a LanguagePackUpdate, if we get another one for
Ubuntu Precise. Otherwise there won't be a fix for 12.04.

The translation in Ubuntu is correct. This will be fixed for future
releases once we get a sync between Debian and Ubuntu.
Nevertheless, this might also be the result of a defect in the
association of package descriptions. There is already a bug report for
this issue too.

Yes, I think so too. There should be a translation of this default
account name!

It is a localization problem. Unity is fetching the user name (or real
name?) from GnomeManager. The name of the guest account however seems
not to be localized so it just shows up as the English guest.
Unity developers: Please add localization for the name of the guest
account if possible.

** Summary changed:
- Wrong association of package description for texmacs
+ Wrong association of package description for several packages
** Description changed:
- In the ubuntu software center (Natty Narwhal) , the package description of
the package texmacs says Ein [...] Taschenrechner
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1179220 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1179220
So the translations for this package's description still do not show up
in Precise. What seems kind of strange to me is that the translation was
submitted before the package was actually available according
Well, I just checked these two packages and they are now translated in
Ubuntu Saucy. Therefore, I am closing this as invalid. If I find any
more affected packages I will open a new bug report.

bug-report.

i installed 12.04 in virtualbox to test this bug. I installed evolution-
exchange but the entries are complety gone now. I am not sure if it is
because i am not connected to an exchange-server (dont have a server
anymore) or if the fix was causing a new bug.
See attached Bildschirmfoto vom
The strings for the shutdown dialog has been translated and reviewed,
however it was done after 13.04 was released.
