Resuming this discussion.
If there are no objections, I contact the onboard developers for this
sharing problem and ask them to use restricted permission on thei
translation if they want to use the sharing feature.

I fully agree with you.
In fact I think it might be wise to somehow get (if this is
technically possible within Launchpad) a list of all projects, which
use open as translation permission and contact at least the ones,
which are more visible in Ubuntu.

Apparent cause: Huw replaced the ugly style=display:none in
lib/lp/translations/templates/translation-import-queue-macros.pt with a
nicer class=hidden.
But the code in lib/lp/translations/javascript/importqueue.js, in
function init_status_choice, tries to make the status visible by doing:

Just a heads up that I've packaged up the translator tools scripts I
started writing quite a while ago. They are now built automatically on a
daily PPA.
They are mainly a collection of both user and admin tools to make the
