no i havent tried burning a dvd or this brand of dvd even, before. This is the
first time im burning a dvd

ive just had confirmation from where i bought the DVD rom that it does support
both type of formats.
The disc im trying to burn is in + format!

from what i can see it is + format! the rewriteable dics are also + format. It
is re writeable DVD unit
