I'll arrive early too, if I can, I may be coming back from Rickreall.

Just want to let those who may be interested know of an event taking place
at the Salem Public Library this Saturday:

Salem Public Library will host its fifth annual Ask the Experts event.
Ask the Experts features a variety of local experts hosting activity
tables on the main floor.
Microportal, the Electronic club is excited to be joining the many
"experts" at the Salem Public Library during their "Ask the Experts"
event. It is our pleasure to join Salem Public Library in an effort
to foster more education in electronics, computer science, and STEM
related core concepts. Thereby creating a passion for mathematics and
electronics, which continues to define our technological world.
Microportal will showcase:*Introduction to Scratch using the
Superpowers of Raspberry Pi:*Join us for a hands-on introduction to
Scratch, which is a free visual programming language developed by
MIT's Media Lab, while utilizing the power of Raspberry Pi, a small
single-board computer developed in the United Kingdom to promote the
teaching of basic computer science in schools. See how you can get
started in computer science and electronics for under $80. This event
is free and open to the public, with activities to appeal to all ages.

*When:* Saturday, March 3, from 1:00 pm to 4:00
*Where:* Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty St SE, Salem, Oregon

*Parking / Fee:* Free event, parking meters will NOT be enforced
during event hours.

We will also have a Pi running Ubuntu Mate, so please feel free to
stop by and hang out with us.

Thanks everyone for being part of our great technology community.

Phil. N
