I can't get HexGL to work at all on Krillin, but it runs very well and
without flickering with the current trunk of Oxide on Arale (as does
Dungeon Fury). The flickering issue is fixed with

I can get Dungeon Fury to

hardware compositing which means we don't benefit from the Chromium
workaround.
To avoid this, we should have a texture-backed EGLImage compositing path
