I tried this with a Live Karmic CD. Seems like the problem exists, since the projector loses sync. Unfortunately, I do not have another screen, and I cannot get in via the network to diagnose. Being a live CD, I do not know how to change it so that I could get in and get the files you requested.

This is fixed in karmic. UXA was not used in jaunty because of problems like this. Do you also have the problem requiring UXA in jaunty's KDE? If you want to use unsupported things such as KDE 4.3 and UXA in jaunty, I recommend using this PPA where the problem is fixed as well.

Forget my suggestion. I took a leap and just removed ALL Compiz components from the package manager and rebooted. Works fine now. So it appears that it's not some crazy kernel update like I suspected, or anything with Nvidia. So the simple solution, the 'actual' workaround until Compiz gets
