Disabling the vsync, opengl runs smoothly both inside KDE with no kwin effects
both outside on a fluxbox wm.

My laptop seems more stable since I installed the latest ATI drivers and
configured PowerPlay. It's lasted a two or three 1 hour journeys on
battery (whilst using 3G).
However it did freeze immediately after the charger was unplugged

I am sticking with Lucid because it is a Long Term Support release.
Are you really advising your Enterprise customers that Maverick is
better supported and that they should move up?
