It helps to just completely unplug the computer for a minute or so. After that,
it will work normally for the next twentysomething boot processes...
I'm guessing it has something to do with suspend to RAM, but I cannot really

It looks I'm encountering this issue on a new computer that I just
built, though I haven't noticed it on another computer that I've had for
about a year. Both computers are using the i915 driver, but the new
computer has a slightly different video chipset. Let me know if there's

Not a very desirable fix, however. Try building systems for people and
telling them that they just have to unplug and replug their usb
receiver ever time they want to use their PC. Looking back, this has

The BIOS vendor was able to put in a fix for this issue. Ideally Ubuntu
