Compiz's Sync to Vblank makes display stutter/slow
The monitor that flickers is the built-in LCD display of the laptop (HP
Elitebook 2730p).
I booted 12.04 B1 with nomodeset boot option and there was no flickering (but
otherwise wrong display resolution).
I reverted to 11.10, and the flickering stopped.
I will install 12.04 B1 from scratch,
Memory usage of compiz was up to 5% (100MB) again with VSync disabled
and not using pc for 3 hours, didn't restart compiz though, don't know
if that is necessary when changing that option.

Same with me, I have enabled horizontal scrolling, checked, double
checked and triple checked that it's still enabled; it is. It works fine
until I put the machine to sleep and then wake it. At that point,
vertical scrolling works perfectly, but horizontal scrolling doesn't,

Some more research shows that the libglu1-mesa-dev package doesn't
include the file /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libGLU.so. Since it conflicts
