[i965gm] GPU lockup render.IPEHR:
I can produce the problem by starting an xterm and clicking (or double
clicking) the title bar. It moves one pixle to the upper left.
Same xclock, and xfontsel, but not xfig, xpdf or any software built on gnome.

appears its having difficulties (or showing different behavior at least)

big way.

For example, I went into Settings-DeskTop-Menus and turned

option, by deselecting it.

After rebooting I carried on using the USB keyboard, and after a while
it suddenly stopped working. The PS/2 keyboard works fine. So it seems
like the problem is 'first keyboard' stops taking input - nothing
specific to USB.

I would like to add that it this hasn't happened once since I switched
to Unity 2D last week (see #18).

guessing when you hit the enter and the command is executed, meaning the
keyboard is disabled, but the keyup event is not yet sent, so X still

12.04 will choose the hdmi output of th hd graphics on the gateway nv7922u
laptop when booting.
the installation disk does the same thing. but if you use F4 repeated on boot
the installation it will bring up boot menu then choose noacpi and noappl well
then boot into

I switched to the ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver, and I got
just the same - freeze when using LibreOfficer writer (this time when
selecting text).
So perhaps this in an xorg bug, not just the nouveau drivers, or perhaps
the same bug is in both drivers.
Can we move this to High
I agree Fredde. This felt like a make it or break it moment for
Ubuntu, since it's received a great deal of positive attention lately
from the mainstream press. Right now, it freezes worse for me than
Windows XP ever did.
