The script runs stable on 3.3-rc1, hangs almost immediately on 3.2.20.
But I'm seeing a hang with 3.3.x as well, so these are two separate
issues but we can track them both here..
So we need to bisect this hang from v3.2-v3.3-rc1, and the other one
v3.3-v3.4-rc1.. fun! At least the script makes
Solved ..!
..so I had the same Problem with a Ati Radeon 5700 HD GFX-Card and AMD-Drivers
installed ... in my way it was the Compiz ...
I removed all self-made Options in the Compiz-CCSM and reseted it to the
default, after that all was normal again, no freezes ...
It must be some extra Options

For those with dedicated Nvidia GC's, Nvidia has apparently fixed their
drivers. I couldn't use them previously due to lack of multiple monitor support
but they now work, which solved the constant hard freezes for me instantly.
I've been pushing it running videos on both screens while recording
I agree with Peti in that all was well for me in my previous installation
(11.10).oh why did I upgrade???
Well, I assumed that stuff that worked in 11.10 would still work in
12.04.wrong!
It's enough to drive me to mint!but then I'd lose the unity desktop
which I actually like!

I've been running kernel ppa 3.4 from mainline for about 2 days now and
it seems to have fixed the problem. I have yet to encounter a black
screen or any other issue with resume since installing this kernel.

(i915.i915_enable_rc6=0) and #280 (i915.i915_enable_fbc=0), my Dell

This is interesting. Apport is disabled in the release itself, so this
hook should not be getting triggered at all.
Now, it is possible to manually turn apport on post-release, but I can't
tell if that's what happened here. In any case, even if that is done,
we still don't want the gpu lockup
Setting to wontfix for quantal because we do want the bug reports for
development, even the false positives. The false positives we need to
figure out how to quell some other way, but that's going to be handled
in bug #983640.

I know this is old and my answer is probably simple and obvious but
under Settings/Mouse and Touchpad (I am using XFCE/Lubuntu), I had three
devices simultaneously enabled: A Mouse, A dual-point Stick and a Touch
Pad - As I am using a Dell Laptop with only a touchpad, disabling the
other two

Since the version 2.5-1ubuntu1.2 of the package xkb-data, the right CTRL key of
the keyboard has ceased to work.
The problem started when APT has updated the xkd-data from 2.5-1ubuntu1 to

If I switch back to 2.5.-1ubuntu1 using Synaptic, it works back.

Nvidia driver and it works. I'll keep that in mind until Cannonical gets
it.
