same thing happens on unity 12.04 3.2.0-29-generic 64bit intel i7 laptop with intel hd3000. this can't be nvidia or amd only problem. was running firefox and cpu was doing nothing ~6%, and ram has ~50% not used. system uptime ~2days. do note this also happens in lucid however i remeber
