The fix released on 11th Sep 2012 stopped the random logoffs occurring
for me - however since updating my machine yesterday (24th Sep 2012) the
problem is back again - I see weird pixelated artefacts on my desktop
after logging in, and then get logged off shortly after launching Google
Chrome.
** Description changed:
+ [Impact]
+ F10 behaves the same as Shift-F10. This causes menus to pop up incorrectly.
+
+ [Fix]
+ Upstream patch preserves Shift so that Shift-F10 and F10 act as separate keys.
+
+ [Test Case]
+ 1. Open a gnome-terminal window
+ 2. Run aptitude
+ 3. Press F10

If there's anything I can do to help fix this bug, please let me know.
Hi Tumaini, yes could you help by doing the following three things?
1. Are you still experiencing this GPU lockup? If so, roughly how
often does it occur?
2. If you're still experiencing it, have you noticed a specific
I am thinking this bug might be fixed by the fix for bug 927168, which
was released to quantal a few days ago.

Rob, upstream says they can't reproduce the bug. Are you still seeing
this bug in Precise? Have you tried quantal?
If you have more to add, comment on the upstream bug report, otherwise
this bug report will get closed as unreproducible.
