I would try but i've just broken my system. added trim command in bootup and disabled writing reports to make my SSD last longer however I now have no desktop, blank screen. I've undone these changes but ctrl-alt-f7 (still with random curruptions but no desktop). seen another post somewhere

For GPU lockup bugs with Intel graphics, you need to collect the output of 'dmesg' and your /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state file. Both of these must be collected while the machine is locked up (e.g. by sshing into the sick machine over ethernet). See
