Freshly installed Ubuntu freezes after login (30-60 seconds). Only hard
reset possible. The problem is the Nouveau driver with my Geforce GTX
580. After I installed the NVIDIA proprietary driver it works flawlessly
again.
When asking about help I even found another GTX 580
Same problem on Ubuntu 12.04 with HP Pavilion dv5, nvidia geforce with
proprietary drivers. Usually I've always Chrome opened.

Alen Masic, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1188123, so is being marked as such.
No need to test, everything is ok. After every Ubuntu installation I had
to disable irqbalance to make my keyboard and mouse work. I believe this
was fixed in 12.10 if I'm not wrong. But nevermind, currently I'm using
13.04 and everything is ok.

I have an Asus EeePC 1005-HA and am running Oneiric. Shortly after
every login, my mouse stops responding entirely, and can only be revived
either by logging out and back in (which is futile) or
unloading/reloading the psmouse kernel module. Steps to

Also, just as something that I noticed looking over the logs that you
already provided, is there an integrated keyboard and touchpad included
with the machine? And if there is, do those cease functioning when the
USB keyboard and mouse do. It does however look like everything is
normally detected
