after modifying the mathematica startup scripts it is clear that the
crash occurs in the gltest. mathematica uses it to test the capabilities
of the GL subsystem. the original command line is
env
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/mathematica-9.0.1/SystemFiles/Libraries/Linux-x86-64

I tried these patches. Coupled with the Gtk+ fix, this does indeed fix
the various scrolling issues! Hopefully the patches will be

using a USB wheel mouse w/ patches applied and a fully updated system.

I'm not sure which version of Ubuntu you are using, but this is only
currently fixed for 14.04. It is scheduled to be included in an SRU for
13.10, but unfortunately, I don't have a time table of when that will
be.

radeon.audio=1 kernel boot option will no longer be necessary with this
kernel. Instead, HDMI audio on ATI/AMD Radeon cards can be enabled and

I have several external displays that I connect to my laptop (800x600,
1660x1050). When I put an application, such as Totem, Pure Data or Eye
of Gnome, full screen (via F11) in the external display, the display on
the primary screen (my laptop) starts to act weird and not
